Tamure and the taniwha by Lexi
A long time ago Taniwha's used to live in the sea. Usually Taniwhas have yellow eyes andwhen people walked along the beach taniwha's used to jump out at them. Usually taniwhas have tattoos. The taniwha had moko's on his face. Also usually they chew people's canoes and eat their fish. And then Tamure came along. Tamure was a giant. He punished that Taniwha. He strangled the Taniwha. The taniwha was sick of it so he swam down to the very deep bits of the sea. And he never came back again. And the people were free to walk along the beach.

Buddy Class
Room 3 pupils are our buddies for this year. Today we met them for the first time. Room 20 were extremely excited and quickly got our room tidy for their visit.
Each pupil from Room 20 was assigned a buddy from Room 3. We chose either a library book or our Writing book to share with our buddies. We all sat outside and read in the glorious sunshine.
Thanks for coming over Room 3. We look forward to many more learning experiences with you!

News Sharing
Today Lexi shared her news about feeding doves at her Grandma's. The class were very interested and Lexi spoke beautifully, explaining how to tell the difference between a male and female dove.
Thank you for sharing, Lexi!
Abby was also very eager to share her news about a fan that was made in Science club by an older pupil. She felt very lucky to have been given it by the kind pupil.
